What Is The Purpose Of A Hot And Cold Pack?
Heat increases blood and nutrient flow to a specific location of the body. It frequently works best in the morning to alleviate stiffness and to warm up muscles prior to action. Cold decreases blood flow, which alleviates swelling and pain. It is frequently the greatest option for acute pain, such as that caused by a sprain or strain.
Cold pack provides therapeutic pain alleviation for muscular and joint discomfort. Cold treatments reduce blood flow to the affected area, making cold therapy great for lowering joint and tendon irritation and swelling.
